ONCE UPON A TIME IN NAZI-OCCUPIED FRANCE...
Shoshanna Dreyfus, a Jewish teenager, witnesses the murder of her family at the hands of a sinister Nazi colonel known as “the Jew Hunter.” Narrowly escaping, Shoshanna flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a movie theater. There she encounters a group of Jewish-American
soldiers organized by the fast-talking outlaw Lieutenant Aldo Raine, a hillbilly from the Tennessee mountains. The soldiers, known simply as “the Basterds,” have been handpicked to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally murdering as many Nazis as they can. A mutual desire for retribution has led them, together with German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark, to converge under Shoshanna’s cinema marquee, where the premiere of a Nazi propaganda film is about to begin—and every leader of the
Third Reich is about to meet his end....But this time Shoshanna is no innocent bystander. She has a revenge plan of her own....
Filled with Tarantino’s trademark electric dialogue and thrilling one-of-a-kind action sequences, Inglourious Basterds is Quentin Tarantino’s most inventive and exhilarating work since Pulp Fiction.
