As a joint venture with The Weinstein Company, one of Hollywood’s great independent film studios, Weinstein Books combines media savvy, publishing know-how, and an entrepreneurial spirit in one boutique imprint. We are committed to helping our authors reach the widest possible range of readers. To that end, we create intensely focused, personal promotional campaigns, tailored to the strengths of each title. Our goal is to curate a passionate publishing list that is as thought-provoking as it is entertaining, and with the help of our long-standing relationships with booksellers and the media, to deliver those books into the hands of avid readers everywhere.
Originally launched as Miramax Books by film moguls Bob and Harvey Weinstein in 2001, the boutique imprint published acclaimed bestsellers by notable figures such as Rudy Giuliani, Madeleine Albright, and Queen Noor of Jordan. Weinstein Books was then reborn in 2009 when it began its joint venture with Perseus Books, and is now under the stewardship of publishing director Georgina Levitt and editorial director Amanda Murray.
Today Weinstein Books publishes New York Times bestselling memoirs including Finding Me by Michelle Knight, bestselling books by media personalities such as Tim Russert and Mika Brzezinski, and Young Adult novels including the acclaimed The Haunting of Sunshine Girl series. We also publish movie tie-ins that are relevant to projects at The Weinstein Company, such as the award-winning My Week with Marilyn and Bully books, and the novelization of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend.
